That’s right, this is not a misprint!

Yahoo just announced that the 2013 user theft that affected about 1 billion user accounts did, in fact, affect most of them if not all of them, this being 3 billion user accounts.

That’s a staggering amount of user details that has been taken and according to Yahoo they manged to take users usernames, names, date of birth, also passwords and bank details however not in clear text.

There are also insider reports that Yahoo knew about this as early as 2014 but did not think it was as bad as it turns out to be, so didn’t report it or tried to cover it up!

Verizon just bought Yahoo so we hope that they have plenty of cash stuck away here as this could be a costly revelation.
